SAFE ENVIRONMENT
At NuVision Projects we are committed to protecting the health, safety and welfare of all people that work on or visit any of our work sites. We have clearly defined roles and responsibilities for all, from management and staff to ensure safety is a major priority and recognize all personnel engage in equally important roles with respect to OH&S.
We value the input from all with regards to safety issues and believe that open, honest and meaningful dialogue and employee contribution to making decisions that concern them will ensure that there is a buy-in to areas that may affect their health, safety and welfare at work.
MANAGEMENT
• All NuVison sites are to be operated to the guidelines set out in the company’s OH&S policy and manual.
• Work site manuals have been developed with detailed methodology which covers site establishment, risk and hazard assessment, monitoring and reporting in accordance with the NuVision OH&S site manual.
• Our OH&S process is subject to ongoing internal reviews by out OH&S committee.
IMPLIMENTATION
• Prior to commencing site works a detailed job specific assessment of possible hazards/risks is undertaken by the site manager with the view to developing a Safe Work Method Statement for all tasks for the duration of that specific project.
• All subcontractors are required to submit their own SWMS for approval by the site manager before commencement of works.
• All NuVision employees and subcontractors must undertake site-specific induction in order to be briefed by the site manager of any specific hazards/risks that may be existing or potential for hazard/risks that may present later during the course of the project.
• During the course of the project continuous monitoring will be undertaken by the site manager. Issues that arise will be documented and handles during toolbox meetings and project management meetings.
• NuVision has processes for incident management in place for reporting and investigating incidents with a view to improve our methodologies of work place safety for lessons learnt.
No project is so important that we cannot take the time to perform our work in a safe and considered manner. The welfare of all the people that we work with is vital and is a matter that we take very seriously.
